Claudia A. Mucciolo

     Claudia A. Mucciolo, 92, of Old Forge, passed away peacefully on Sunday at the Allied Hospice Center.  She was married to Anthony “Tony” Mucciolo and just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on September 5th.

     Born March 14, 1930, in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Alberto and Anita Carrara Cappuccino. Claudia was a graduate of Old Forge High School’s Class of 1947 and Lackawanna Business School. She was a waitress at the former Brutico’s Restaurant in Old Forge for 43 years and patrons knew her well. She was a lifelong member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.

     In addition to her husband Tony, she is survived by two daughters, Anita and husband Bruce Kerr, Dallas, and Maria Smallacombe and husband Danny, Old Forge as well as her beloved grandson Danny whom she adored, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and sister-in-law.

     She was preceded in death by a sister, Liana Giacometti, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.   

      Claudia was a wonderful Wife, Mother, and Gramma…she was amazingly strong and always bounced back no matter what… she had a strong will. We all love you and will see you later…

     The family would like to thank Dr. Ken Sebastianelli and Brianna from Comprehensive Medical Home Health, along with Allied Hospice for their care and compassion.                                                                                                                   

     Claudia’s funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. August Ricciardi, Pastor, in the Price of Peace Parish – St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, 123 West Grace Street, Old Forge.  Interment Old Forge Cemetery.

     Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Claudia at the funeral home on Thursday evening 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
