Obituary of Elsie R. Brown

     Elsie R. Brown, 87, of Old Forge, passed away Wednesday at the Regional Hospital, Scranton.  She was married to Raynor Brown.  The couple celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on Feb. 14th.

     Born in Old Forge, she is the daughter of the late Louis and Louise D. Baldiga Reviello.  She attended the Old Forge Public School System and was a parishioner and choir member at the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.  Elsie was also a member of the Red Hats’ Society, and the Old Forge Senior Citizens.

     Elsie was a great mother and a wonderful cook.  She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

     Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Sandra Pagnotti, Moosic, Janice Ferri and husband Billy, Moscow, a son, Matthew Brown and wife Marie, Old Forge, grandchildren; Dr. Vince Pagnotti II and wife Loubna, Maxine Pagnotti, Sabrina Ferri Yuhasz and husband Dr. James, Kyle Ferri and wife Jessica, Matthew Brown Jr. and wife Kristin, Ashley and Ricky Johns, Angelina and Arianna Brown, great-grandchildren; Sophia and Vince Pagnotti III, Kaleb Pagnotti, Scarlett Yuhasz, Kiara and Xavier Ferri, Hailey and Elsie Brown, Ricky Jr., Nathan, and Lucas Johns., nieces, and nephews.

     Elsie was preceded in death by a son, Raynor Jr., and a sister, Marcello Bello. 

     A mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Parish – St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, 123 West Grace Street, Old Forge to be celebrated by Rev. August Ricciardi, Pastor.  Interment will follow at the Old Forge Cemetery.

     There will be no viewing hours.

     Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, those attending the mass are asked to go directly to the church and wear facial masks and follow social distancing restrictions.
