Obituary of Joan M. Andrews

Joan M. "Junie" Andrews, 71, of Old Forge, died Wednesday at Hospice Community Care, Dunmore. She was the widow of David Andrews.

Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Dorothy Anzalone Riviello. She was a graduate of Old Forge High School and a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge. 

Junie was very kind to all animals and pets. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and flowers.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Lawrence and the staff of the Hospice Community Care for the compassionate care given to Junie.

Surviving are four brothers, Albert Riviello, Robert Riviello and wife, Ofelia; Gerald Riviello and Edward Riviello and wife, Christine, all of Old Forge; four sisters, Elizabeth Spinelli, Monroe, Conn.; Rose Marie Fidanza, Stuart, Fla.; Dorothy Kollman, Cary, N.C.; and Karen Monacelli-Marks, Taylor; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ross, Samuel, Arthur and Harvey Riviello; and her companion, John Rascan.

The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge. Interment, Old Forge Cemetery.
