Obituary of Chester Giacomi

Chester "Chet" Giacomi, 53, of Old Forge, died Friday at home. His wife of 23 years is the former Lynn Van Nort. 

Born in Old Forge, he was the son of Harry Giacomi and the late Annette Marseco Giacomi. He was a graduate of Old Forge High School and King's College, Wilkes-Barre. He was employed by VTC Allied Services as a program specialist. He was a member of the Old Forge Fire Department and Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.

A special thank you to Dr. Emanuelson, Dr. Barsigian and the staff at the Hematology, Oncology Association of NEPA, Dr. William Dempsey, and the staff at the Celtic Hospice.

Also surviving are best friends, Mark Rutkowski and Gene Lesneski; a godson, Alex Moses; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A blessing service by the Rev. August Ricciardi will be held Monday at 11 a.m., at the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge. Interment Old Forge Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 11.
