Obituary of Theresa M. Migliacci

Theresa M. Migliacci, Old Forge, died peacefully Tuesday at the Green Ridge Health Care Center, Scranton, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was married to Joseph "Baff" Migliacci.

Born in Jessup, daughter of the late Patsy and Rose Pacini DeSantis, she was a graduate of Jessup High School. Before retiring, Theresa was an excellent seamstress and was employed by the local garment industry. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was a devoted Catholic who passionately loved her faith and was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.

Theresa loved playing bingo, and trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas. She especially appreciated vacations to California to visit her relatives.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Green Ridge Health Care Center and the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their kind and compassionate care given to Theresa.

Also surviving are a daughter, Renee Parlopiano and husband, Ben, Moosic; a grandson, Dr. Brandon Parlopiano and wife, Sarah, Silver Spring, Md.; a sister, Rosemarie Mecca, Jessup; two nephews, Dino Mecca and wife, Susan, Jessup; and Ron Ventre, San Diego, Calif.; two nieces, Roseann Povanda and husband, Dr. Paul, Horseheads, N.Y.; and JoAnne Ventre, El Cajon, Calif.; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ann Margotta; and a brother, Louis DeSantis.

The funeral will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge, with Mass of Christian Burial at noon in Prince of Peace Parish - St. Mary's Church, West Grace Street, Old Forge. Interment, Old Forge Cemetery.
