Obituary of Lorraine M. Duffy

     Lorraine M. (DiVecchia) Duffy, recently a resident of Cresco, passed away into the arms of God on Tuesday.  Lorraine and her husband, Francis G. Duffy, recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. 

     Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late James and Angeline DiVecchia. She graduated from Old Forge High School.  Lorraine and Francis raised their four children in Clinton, NJ from 1965 – 1999. She was a very loving and affectionate person, and a wonderful mother. Lorraine loved to cook. Their house was in the center of the neighborhood, and had an open- door policy.  All were welcome to drop in.  In 1978, she became a licensed practical nurse.  She worked very hard as a nurse in Hunterdon and Somerset counties, NJ.  She was of the Catholic faith.

     Lorraine is survived by her husband, Francis, three sons, James, John, and Joseph Duffy, and a daughter, Jennifer Deignan, seven grandchildren; Heather, Chise, Abby, Francis II, Mary Rose, Timothy, Madelyn, a sister, Grace Pakutka, a niece, Lynne Amicone, a nephew, Joseph Pakutka, and cousins, Mary Lou Magnani, and Dolores Serra.

     Lorraine will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
