Obituary of Sarah M. Marmo
Sarah M. Marmo, 93, of Old Forge, passed away Friday at Geisinger CMC. She was the widow of the late Robert Marmo, who died in 2005.
Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Natalia Biscontini. Sarah was a member of Old Forge High School’s Class of 1945. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.
Sarah is survived by two sons, Robert and wife Judy, Paul and wife Brenda, all of Old Forge, grandchildren; Sylena Parham and husband Matthew, Aylssa, Alexis, Paul J. Marmo, Robert P. Marmo, Stephanie Benoit and wife Heather, Jeffrey Marmo and wife Kristen, a great-granddaughter, Molly Marmo, nieces, and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Andrew Marmo, a daughter in-law, Donna Marmo, three brothers, Peter, Nicholas, Olgo, and Anthony Biscontini, four sisters, Mary Donlavich, Lillian Migal, Clara Shypolski, and infant sister Sarah Biscontini.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge, followed by a 10 a.m. mass of Christian burial at the Prince of Peace Parish – St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, 123 West Grace Street, Old Forge, to be celebrated by Rev. August Ricciardi, pastor. Entombment will immediately follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
