Obituary of Grace A. Pakutka
Grace A. Pakutka, 82, passed away Monday at Moses Taylor Hospital.
Born on September 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James and Angeline Salerno DiVecchia. Grace was a graduate of the Old Forge High School’s Class of 1957. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the former K-Mart in Moosic. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish – St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, Old Forge.
Surviving are a daughter Lynne Matisko Amicone, Old Forge a son, Joseph Pakutka and wife Lori, Scranton, five grandchildren; Mark and Michael Matisko, Michelle, Christopher, Jamie Pakutka, and a great-grandson, Chase Pakutka, a brother in-law, Fran Duffy, Cresco, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her long-time companion, Richard J. Tomarelli, and a sister, Lorraine Duffy.
Grace’s funeral will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge, followed by a 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Prince of Peace Parish, 123 West Grace Street, Old Forge, to be celebrated by the Rev. August Ricciardi, Pastor. Interment Old Forge Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Grace at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
