Obituary of Roseann Stassi
Roseann Stassi, 64, of Old Forge, passed away on Friday morning at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.
A lifelong resident of Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Edith Brigido Stassi. She was a graduate of Old Forge High School’s class of 1975. Prior to her retirement, Roseann was employed at her family’s business, the A.J. Stassi Coal and Oil Company, Old Forge. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.
Roseann was the most generous and kind person with a heart of gold. Anyone who visited her always left with a small gift. Her life revolved around her beloved nieces and nephews.
Surviving Roseann are a brother, Patrick Stassi, Old Forge; two sisters, Francine Moran and husband, Barry, Clarks Green; Maria Pagnotti and husband, Louis, West Pittston; and an honorary sister, Karen Connors; nieces and nephews, Mara Valenti and husband, Michael; Megan Mead and husband, Sherman; Louis Pagnotti IV and companion, Jocelynn Roccograndi; Mia Pagnotti, Anthony Pagnotti; great-nieces, Nina and Julia Valenti, Mira, Maya and Maria Mead; and cousins.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge, PA 18518, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Parish, 123 W. Grace St., Old Forge, to be celebrated by the Rev. August Ricciardi, pastor.
Interment will immediately follow at the Old Forge Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Roseann on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m.
In honor of Roseann, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen, 500 Penn Ave., Scranton, PA 18503.
