Obituary of Joseph C. "Baff" Migliacci
Joseph C. “Baff” Migliacci, of Old Forge, died Friday at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Theresa DeSantis, in 2015.
Born November 9, 1928, in Old Forge, he was the son of the late Carmen and Sestina Reviello Migliacci. He was a graduate of Old Forge High School’s Class of 1946. For 50 years, Baff owned and operated an insurance agency in Moosic. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.
His favorite past-times included racquetball, horse racing, and physical fitness. He was a great friend to many and enjoyed spending time with them. Whenever asked how he was, Baff always answered: Never had a bad day!
Deeply loved by his family, Baff is survived by a daughter, Renee Parlopiano and her husband Ben, Moosic, a grandson, Dr. Brandon Parlopiano and his wife Sarah, Silver Springs, MD, a great-grandson, Leo Parlopiano, several nieces, and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Anne Ventre.
In honor of Baff, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, at the Prince of Peace Parish, 123 West Grace Street, Old Forge. Interment Old Forge Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Baff at the Prince of Peace Parish on Saturday, April 6, from 9:00 – 10:0 a.m.
