Andrew (Andy) Steven Kohl, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and buddy died suddenly Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013. He was 59 years old.
He was born into a military family in Germany, to William Andrew and Louise Barnes Kohl and grew up with his three siblings in the Carolinas and Florida. Andy and his own family lived in Florida and moved to Tunkhannock where he worked at Procter & Gamble for 16 years.
Andy was a quiet man from a loud family, soft-spoken with a great sense of humor. His life revolved around his family.
He was a favorite uncle of his nieces and nephews, who remember him always saying, "See you later, alligator." Those who love him so much, live in that hope.
Andy is loved and mourned by his wife of 18 years, Nancy Balint Kohl; and their daughters: Abigail Avery and Madilyn Elisabeth; a sister, Louise Kohl Leahy; a brother, George William and his wife Terry; and his sister-in-law, Melody Bridgman Kohl; and daughter Patricia Taylor Raysor; three nieces; two nephews, three great nephews; and a great niece.
He was preceded in death by his dear parents, William Andrew Kohl and Louise Scott Barnes Kohl; and by his beloved brother and best friend Christopher.
